Legal Question in Personal Injury in California

A neighbor paid for damages they caused to our automobile. Do they have grounds to be refunded if we do not do the repair? thanks

The simple answer is no. It is up to you to decide if you want to repair the vehicle or not. They are responsible for the damages they caused.

That depends. If you and the neighbor made an agreement and that agreement required you to use the money for repairs, then yes. If not, then you can probably keep the money.
