Legal Question in Personal Injury in California

personal injury at high school event(baseball game)

my son was hit in face with a baseball. Needed x-rays, meds etc... do I have to pay for all of the medical bills or is the school also liable for any of the bills?

People who either play sports or attend sporting events assume a certain level of risk. At baseball games, the risks include being hit by a ball. Unless your son was hit under very unusual circumstances, the school is probably not liable.

Sorry I can't be more encouraging.

Was this high school? If so, the school should have insurance to pay the medical bills. High schools generally have student athletes provide proof of insurance or provide insurance for the kids. Check with them.

If your student was not an athlete, you or your medical insurance will probably have to pay for the medical bills.
