Legal Question in Personal Injury in California

Power of Attorney

Can my son give Power of Attorney to his wife to handle the legal matters re: his disability representation? His atty simply says to refer any questions to his secretary and they won't talk to to anyone but my son. It is a mess. Now they are going to cut off his disability. His doc said he can't work, but disability rep says he can.

Re: Power of Attorney

It sounds like someone has been calling the attorney too much. Unless your son is mentally disabled, this is the wrong approach.

Also, you have no "standing" to sue. Mother or not, an attorney cannot discuss the case with you. YOU ARE NOT THE CLIENT!

Let your son and his lawyer handle the case.
