Legal Question in Personal Injury in California

To the question: "Do you HAVE to obtain a Minor's Compromise?" My question is: Is there a rule or statute that clearly allows to bypass court approval? We, attorneys can not rely on Insurance Companies decisions.

All settlements of minors' claims require court approval to be binding on the minor. However, most insurance companies will not require court approval if settlement is less than $5,000 (sometimes $3,000 or whatever limit the insurance company wants) and no permanent injury. That means the minor still has the right to sue after age of majority.
