Thank goodness you were not physically hurt. I'm sure that the intent was to terrify you. You might want to get some assistance in that area. I agree. Let the police and FBI know. They will look at the remnants and perhaps make an arrest.

If what you are saying is true, you need to immediatly call the police. If you can, recover as much of the package as possible. If you neighbor sent the package through the US Mail, call the Postmaster General. I would also call the FBI as well since the Federal Government has jurisdiction over interstate commerce.

As far as a civil action is concerned, does this guy have any mony or assetts? In other words, this is a good case however unless they guy has any money or a job you may not be able to collect anything even if you win.
