Legal Question in Personal Injury in California

Recently i was in my car and another person in a car rammed me. I tried getting away, but she rammed me again. Then she left the scene. I know who she is, so i got her info and reported it to her insurance co. They said she denies it, and i heard she got her car fixed. So i filed a police report too, and they said they couldnt do anything about it. WTF? What am i suppose to do? My car is totalled and i lost my job, cant get kids to and from school, etc. I need help please, to see what direction to go in. There r witnesses too. I have also been to the doctor. I dont even know if this is considered accident law, cuz it was no accident. She tried to hit me

Since you filed a police report and have witnesses to support your claim you should be able to proceed with a civil action against the party who hit you for both property damage and personal injuries. You need to consult with an attorney so that your case can be properly evaluated as soon as possible.

Filing of the police report was very important. You should also report this to your own insurance company. This was end up being an uninsured motorist claim if the other party does not have insurance. A good attorney can find out if the car was repaired and by whom.
