Legal Question in Personal Injury in California

hello. recently i was contacted by a law office demanding money due to an accident someone had in the car that i sold them. the night that i sold the car was the day after thanksgiving so i was unable to get the car out of my name until the following monday. i have the relase of libility stamped and approved by dmv. the law office says it is my fault since the car was in my name the night that i sold it but you have 3-5 days to get the car out of your name

You should turn this over to your insurance company. If you were responsible for the car, then they will cover it. If you were not, they will set the attorneys straight.
