Legal Question in Personal Injury in California
I was recently involved in an accident, a 20 year old kid ran a red light and struck my vehicle at a high speed and they said my car was a total loss. I had some neck pain from a lateral whiplash for a week or so after, nothing major. his insurance company offered me $500 for pain and suffering. although I did not seek any medical help, I feel like $500 is too little, just the hassle of going through this incident (mentally) and finding a new car and everything. what would be a reasonable amount I could negotiate with them? thanks for any advise

If you had an accident that resulted in your care being totaled, and pain after the accident, you should have gone to see a doctor. It is the first place any personal injury attorney would send you.
