Legal Question in Personal Injury in California

Hello, Do I have recourse against my insurance company? A jogger ran into the right side of my stopped car at a corner, he ran off, and then later an officer came to my home to say the jogger broke his hand. Although I was not cited, an Officer made a report saying my hood was damaged when it was not. My auto insurance co of 20 years accepted officers satement, as well as witness lies that "he was on her hood and she wouldn't stop." Another witness was at the hospital with the jogger, which apparently the officer did not find strange. A court expert who owns a body shop inspected my car and gave his signed statement that what the witness said could not have happened, and my car was not damaged. My insurance more than doubled and i now have a point on my license record. Thank you, Loriann

The insurance company has absolutely nothing to do with the DMV adding a point to your record.
