Legal Question in Personal Injury in California

to reply to Mr.McGinity on the ? iasked about my 14yo daughter.

She lives with her father the car registered to father's girlfriend or father not too sure.i had no idea she was drving nor i would never let herif she was in my care.what can i do to protec my self from getting sued?
