Legal Question in Personal Injury in California

I reside in an apartment complex. My vehicle was parked in a designated parking spot. There was a storm, which caused a tree to fall over on my vehicle. The vehicle is no longer in running condition. My question is how much responsibiltity does the complex have in taking care of the damage that was done on thier property?
