Legal Question in Personal Injury in California

Who is responsible for a baseball breaking my windshield?

My wife was recently passing an elevated baseball field next to a road (but being elevated the game was not visible from the street), without warning a baseball came crashing down smashing the windshield. Who would be liable if I were looking to obtain some form of reimbursement for replacing the windshield? I understand that had I attended the game then I would have at least accepted some responsibility knowing a game was taking place, but just to drive by a ball park and get hit, I find hard to believe I would have to shoulder the full responsibility of the accident.

Talk to whoever owns the field. It is probably a parks department. It should either be them or the people who rented it, but they will know who rented it.

This would be a small claims court matter if you cannot resolve it with them. If you end up in small claims court, email me at [email protected] for a copy of my free ebook on small claims court.
