Yeah, Good luck on that one.
Wonderful. You're admitting to theft and expect a jury to give you damages for pain and suffering presuming your miscarriage was the result of being apprehended for shoplifting. You'll probably find a lawyer willing to take your case, but I shouldn't be on that jury.
I am actually appalled by the previous attorney responses. Any PI attorney worth 2 bits would recognize that although you were shoplifting, that the force used to apprehend you was unreasonable under the circumstances.
Sounds like a classic excessive use of force case. Give me a call for a free consultation at 800-816-1529 x. 1. My firm handles these types of cases all over the State of California. My website is www.thepersonalinjury.com .
If you have medical proof of pregnancy and miscarriage that occurred the day after this incident (doctor reports/billing in both cases), you may have a case. I agree with Mr. Fernandez, above, regarding earlier responses.
If what you say is true and your injuries have been documented, you have a case. This is like cops beating a person to death for stealing a slice of pizza. I am interested in this case provided the facts, as you stated, pan out.
