Legal Question in Personal Injury in California
Slip & Fall @ major grocery store
I had a slip & fall accident in a major grocery store last year. I ended up with a dislocated patella and a sprained elbow. Im finishing up my last few pt app. And my lawyer already sent a demand letter because he said treatment taking too long. I had a gap in treatment because the injury didn't allow me to work (on crutches and immobilizer) for three months), Me and my 2 children were evicted and left without health insurance because we didn't have permanent residence. Also I became pregnant and when I got my health insurance through the state the doctor couldn't reffer me for a MRI or another knee cap xray until I delivered. I paid my rent on time every month up until the accident. I have about $9,000 in med bills so far. Im afraid that my lawyer sounds like he doesn't care and that I wont be getting much back. Will I be under paid? He never discussed the demand packet with me. Should I be worried?

It is actually pretty worrisome that your lawyer sent a demand letter already. You can't get the top value for a case unless all the medical expenses are known. If he settles too early, you might get left holding the bag. If you want to talk about your situation in more detail, call me toll-free at 877-LION-FOR-LAW
