Legal Question in Personal Injury in California

I slipped and fell on a mat at a local pizza place, I filled out a report of the incident and several employees witnessed the fall. The next day I went to the E.R. because I was in a lot of pain, turns out I have a sprained wrist, contusions on my back and neck, muscle spasms and acute back pain. Does the pizza place have to pay my medical bills?

Possibly. There could be others responsible as well. Give me a call when you have time and we can discuss further.

Most people feel adrenaline and shock after they're injured that it takes a day or two before they go see a doctor.

There is more to it than just asking them to pay your bills. Go see a local attorney to help with seeking compensation for your injuries.

It depends why you fell. What was wrong with the mat. What pizza place do wrong.

If the company was negligent - wet floor, defective mat, etc., they may very well have to pay your medical bills, any lost wages, and pain and suffering. You should call an attorney to assist you. Usually, when claimants try to handle their own settlements, they get much less than an attorney can get for them. There is, most likely, an insurance policy that would pay you. Many attorneys can settle your claim with a demand letter and a few phone conversations with the company and/or insurance carrier's agent. 949-481-6909.
