Legal Question in Personal Injury in California

Hi, I sold a car to samebody and i reported to the DMV in Los Angeles. Turns out that this guy di not registered ander his name and had an accident by crashing in to a water hydren. I have goned to to the DWP to showed them proof that the car was not my and that i was not drivin it. They said everything was fine, and now im being sued by the city and iI heve to go to court.

Your release of liability form filed with the DMV will take care of the suit. You'll still have to go, but you'll have a defense.
