Legal Question in Personal Injury in California
My son is in jail at the west valley detention center in rancho cucamonga, san bernardino county, Ca.
He will be out in about a month. He has been working as a cook in the sheriffs dining area. The main cook asked him to help clean, he handed him some cleaner and my son started cleaning, when he felt his arm burning. The chemical in the cleaner caused third degree burns to his right arm. The person that handed him the cleaner didnt inform my son to wear any protective gloves. They took my son to the hospital. The doctor did his best to help my son but his arm had third degree chemical burns. Is there any legal action he can take?

This would be handled as a workers compensation case even though your son was in jail, he will still be an employee for purposes of workers compensation. You son needs to retain a competent workers compensation attorney that handles San Bernardino cases.
