Legal Question in Personal Injury in California

my sons friend was beaten badly by police officers on tape now he isnt all there anymore , his lawyer allowed him to settle for 1,500 dollars is there anything we can do to reverse this

If he is mentally competent, you have no right to try to change anything. If he is not, then a conservator needs to be appointed and take it from there, perhaps claiming he did not have the mental capacity to know what he was agreeing to in the settlement [difficult to argue].
