know nothing about sueing

i need some help a slip and fall at a store i slipped on some gear oil coming out . i didn;t get a laywer the propertry manager said i could settle out of court but nothing she says anyday now well the slip was 2-5-03

Unless you filed suit before 2-5-05, your statute of limitations has long expired and your case has no value.

I'm afraid you have a real problem on your hands, since the limitations period for a personal-injury claim has long since passed.

Unless the store agreed to waive the limitation period, getting around this problem won't be easy. Stalling of the sort you describe is not enough. With more facts I might see things differently, but it seems you are too late.

I'm sorry I can't be more encouraging.
