Suing For PTS

If you were abused as a child, and have been diagnosed with Post Tramatic Stress Disorder, Can you sue the abuser for damages?

Yes. However, the Statute of Limitations for such actions is more complex than for other kinds of cases. I would need to know more about your individual case before I could say if you would be able to sue. In general, however, the answer is yes.

The statute of limitation is set forth in California Code of Civil Procedure section 340.1. Generally, such suit must be brought before the 26th birthday. There are some exceptions, though.
