Legal Question in Personal Injury in California

Traumatized little girl, bounty hunters w/ guns

I have a friends that has a little girl that was traumatized by bounty hunters coming into their apartment w/ their guns drawn. Ever since that incident she has had trouble sleeping and coninually has nightmares. Apparently the bondsmen got the key to the appartment from the manager. They did not get their suspect because it was a friend of theirs and he was not there.

My question is: Are the bondsmen or the company that they work for liable for treatment of the little girl?

Yes, the bondsmen and their bond company nwould be liable for the harm they caused to the girl, however the reall problem becomes how to prove the extent of damages for the little girl. It seems to me more trouble than it would be worth. You could sue them in small claims court.
