Legal Question in Personal Injury in California

Un-inusred and had an accident

My mother had a car accident on 12/13/06 and her insurance ended on 11/10/06. Someone was tailgating her and to avoid them she tried to turn the corner and her SUV hit the curve, plowed into a tree and flipped upside down. She other driver sped off and this was the information given to police by witnesses. My mother is not insured and the car is still being paid for. What options does she have before the 10 days are up?

I am not sure what 10 days you are referring to, unless you mean the 10 days to file an SR-1 with DMV. She must file the SR-1 if she was injured or if the damage was more than $750.
