Legal Question in Personal Injury in California

Vehicle vs Deer

I have been involved in 2 auto accidents in the past 2 months involving deer jumping in front of my car, 1 was on a city/couty road the other was on a CA highway. Is there anything I can do about these or hold responsible?

Re: Vehicle vs Deer

If you have insurance, it may provide coverage for such accidents. Otherwise, there's probably nothing you can do. No one is financially responsible for the actions of wild animals. There might be some recourse if the government should have known that a particular stretch of highway was an especially likely place for such an accident and if it could reasonably have modified the road to prevent such accidents, but such an argument seems rather unlikely to succeed -- even if you are able to prove the necessary facts.

Really not very much other than to notify your insurance.
