Legal Question in Personal Injury in California

If I visit a home in a gated community (HOA) and my ca is hit by a golf ball, what legal recourse do I have to get the car repaired? Is the Home Owners Association (HOA) responsible or the golf club, who takes the responsibility?

Thank you

I need more information as to how the incident occurs. Just because the car is hit does not mean there was negligence. If the golfer hits the ball in a completely unexpected direction and you are not crossing a fairway or area that warns of golfer hitting the ball there, then the golfer alone is negligent. If the HOA does not put up fencing to catch wayward balls where it is known they will go, it might be liable. The golf club is probably owned by the HOA but run by an independend golf pro who may have been negligent. If you park in any area that looks to be dangerous, you are partly at fault.
