Legal Question in Personal Injury in California
i wanted to know if i would be able to sue kelloggs cereal for finding a quarter size sugar rock in my toddlers cereal. I have written a complaint to them because my son choked on that. i was busy changing my infant son's diaper when i notice my son was choking. i was alone and scared. i was thinking of suing them for emotional distress and negligence on kelloggs behalf because how could they allow that big piece of sugar rock pass inspection? they requested some info like the rock, bar-code on box, and the top part of the box. i wanted to see if i could sue for $25,000. thank you

I'm not sure where the $25,000 figure comes from. Was your son injured? Did he have medical bills as a result? Was he in sustained pain? Without knowing more about what happened, I can't say whether you have a potentially viable case.
Unless your son was injured, or you suffered ongoing SEVERE psychological harm from the incident with clear manifestations that can be proven in court, you are entitled to essentially nothing.
