Legal Question in Personal Injury in California

I will be filing a 530A or 530B medical battery lawsuit against a surgeon whose staff medicated me prior to seeing the doctor, and said doctor then gave me versed IM (7 benzodiazepines and opiates in addition) then says he obtained the conditional collaboration and consent, which I did not give, and have no memory of doing so. I have had a letter of intent to sue sent to said doctor, and it was forwarded to the physicians medical malpractice trust, and to date there has been no reply. I will be litigating this matter myself and am looking for resources to help guide me in the process of litigating this matter. I know I need to file the formal complaint and have the physician served. How can I do that, and or have someone assist me. The case will be filed in California, and I am on the East Coast. Thanks.

You should be able to find an attorney service who can file documents for you, and they will usually have registered process servers on staff who can also serve the summons and complaint.
