Legal Question in Personal Injury in California

I witnessed an accident and stopped and called 911. I did not touch the victim (who was hit by a car). I simply called 911 and waited for the EMTs and police to arrive. I got a letter today that said, "I have information that you caused, or contributed to, the injuries I sustained in an accident so please forward this letter to your insurance carrier."

I was driving Eastbound and a car driving westbound hit this woman. I only saw it because I was driving the other way.

What should I do. I did not touch her or move her I bent down over her to hear if she was breathing but didn't touch her because I've heard that you should never touch someone. I was talking with 911 the entire time.

You should forward the letter to your insurance carrier as it suggests. The insurer will deal with it. If the claim seems destined for court, the insurer will provide you with a lawyer.

Good luck.
