work injury

if its past the statue of limitations to file for workers comp and someone files a civil suit against you.. can they ask for your property or bank account or anything be frozen or attached or anything?

Typically, if a party is being sued, financial information cannot be sought regarding whether the person can satisfy the debt. If there is a judgment against that party, then a debtor's examination can take place at which the judgment creditor can inquire into all areas of financial assets and liabilities. Good luck!

As you can see from the responses, your questiion if very confused. You must make a claim for WC within a year of knowing you suffered a WC injury or the payment of benefits. That bears no relationship to a civil suit. With a few exceptions, civil suits can not be filed by employees against their employers or co-workers, whether or not an active WC claims still exists.
