Legal Question in Personal Injury in California

Over a year ago I went to a skating rink, rented their skates and as I was skating I fell down and broke my ankle. My fracture was at the end of the skating shoe.

Their was no liablity waiver sign at all at this location.

My question is is the skating rink responsible for my injury? and if so is their an attorney who can take on this case?

I would say that a broken ankle is one of the risks of skating. Unless the owners of the rink made the activity more dangerous by -- say -- having a rut in the rink or having a rough patch when the rest of the rink is smooth, then they probably don't have any liability.

As for whether an attorney can take on your case, it doesn't hurt to ask. Because it's more than a year ago, the conditions of the rink probably have changed, so there might not be a way to investigate the rink's condition at the time of your injury.
