Legal Question in Product Liability in California
When there is an issue of an injury because of a "manufacture defect", would it be best to contact a lawyer first? Or the company of the defect, as it relates to an injury? I would not want this to happen to anyone else.
Thank you for your time,

It is always best to go to an attorney experienced in Product Liability law. They can advise you on who to use as an expert to inspect the product to see if it is defective. Of course, the injury must be significant or it is not economically feasible to hire an expert.
The response given is not intended to create, nor does it create an ongoing duty to respond to questions. The response does not form an attorney-client relationship, nor is it intended to be anything other than the educated opinion of the author. It should not be relied upon as legal advice. The response given is based upon the limited facts provided by the person asking the question. To the extent additional or different facts exist, the response might possibly change.
What is the nature of the manufacturing defect and what type of product is it? Your concern about how the defect could cause harm to others is important, regardless of the type of injury you received. It is important to try to rectify the defect immediately to ensure safety to others.
