Legal Question in Product Liability in California

I don't know if there's a law against it, but yecch! Your Friend should find another way to address his urine test, if that's the purpose. People sell all kinds of stuff. A major convenience store chain is now selling its own brand of beer....

Well we all know why someone would likely want a urine specimen - don't we? If you are selling to a verified medical student, researcher or someone who can and will provide you a written diirections for the assignment - then call the persons school or advisor to verify it - then it is probably OK as I do not think it falls intao the category of a body part once it leaves your body - it is like hair or skin or poo poo! - I can sell my hair - I can even sell my used underwear as these are not considered organs or body parts - but check it all out very carefully. If you are selling with knowledge or imputed knowledge that it is being passed off as someone elses urine in order to pass a "test" you are an accesssory to a crime - no doubt about it - and what line exactly would you put this added income on your tax return?!!!!!!!! GET EVERYTHING IN WRITING IF IT IS A LEGITIMATE USE. Even with hair - if I sold it it would have to be pulled by the root by a lab tech to be valid for a medical test.

Best advice - dont leave your urine or sell it or give it to anyone or pee anywhere other than a toilet (with the lid up if you are a guy and put that darn lid DOWN when you are done!) or in a doctor's office or collection lab where it is a sterile environment and the specimen is left with an attendent and you KNOW and have proof of what it is being used for and had YOUR name on it with a sealed lid. A plastic lid that is! Would'nt you hate to have "convicted of selling pee" on your record?
