18 and kicked out

i was recently kicked out of my house by my parents. when they first did so they gave me no notice locked the doors on me, left some clothes outside but the rest of my stuff and money was inside and they went away for 10 days. i was wondering if there is any legal action i can take on them?

Why did they kick you out? You have the right to your belongings, but you can't break into the house to get it.

If they have returned, you can call the police department and ask for a standby while you obtain your belongings. Otherwise, you need to sue them.

Are you for real? Although I suspect this is a joke, if you are an adult, unless you have a legal ownership interest in the property, or have a valid rental agreement, then you never had a legal "right" to remain in your parents' home without their consent. If they are in possession of personal belongings that are yours alone and will not voluntarily turn them over to you, you can always sue them. Parents are not responsible for providing housing or "room and board" for adult children and you are not entitled to any claims to live in their house simply because you are their child.
