Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California
2-story house in California, refinanced one year before dad died. The house is only in his name, since mom was already dead. Four children survive, however, 2 live in the house and continue the mortgage payments. None of the children want the house, and the two living in it want to abandon it. Are there any legal ramifications that can come back on any of the children?
