Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California
It's been 1 year 7 months since we bought our first home, I was going to pay a sewer Invoice and county clerk told me the property is not under your name. I called loan officer and she contacted the title company and i discover they had a problem recording the deed, there is a mistake on the property number and they are trying to reach the previous owner but he is not cooperating. I am trying to refinance and take some money out of the property because i remodeled the house last year they told me i can not do that i have to wait they did not give me a time frame they do not know if it can take months or even years to fix this. I planned all this refinancing strategy for my finances and can not do it now. I took loans and paying high interests and i was planning to pay most of my high interests loans. Help me please, can i sue them

You almost certainly can sue someone, but who and whether that is the most effective path to a solution are impossible to say without a LOT more information and details. A title screw-up is not a golden ticket to compensation. You must do everything reasonable to minimize the losses to you and every reasonable effort to solve the problem. If you are in Northern California, give me or another good real estate attorney a call. In SoCal find a good local attorney, and then spend an hour or so sorting out your options.
