Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California
There's an Abstract of Judgment on my property from 2004 for $1,441.99, and the creditor (National Credit Acceptance, INC.) is no longer to be found. What steps would I take to clear this judgment?

National Credit Acceptance, Inc. is an active California corporation in good standing, according to the records of the Secretary of State. Its address is 1731 Howe Ave., Suite 254, Sacramento, CA 95825.
I agree with Mr. Whipple. You didn't try very hard. 1731 HOWE AVE #254, Sacramento, CA 95825.
If you want them to clear you title, you have to pay them.
Not to mention that their attorneys names and address would be on both the court and county recorder's records of the abstract.
And not to mention further that the second result in a Google search for "National Credit Acceptance, Inc." provides a Bloomberg report with the address, phone, fax and CEO's name. Sounds like you not only didn't try very hard to find them, you didn't try at all.
