Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California

Access money's from judgement...

How long may the sheriff hold on to the access sum from the judgement, which has been fulfilled, at hand? Is there a a particular time frame in which the money is to be returned to it's owner since the judgement has been satisfied in it's entirety? A specific date has been given for replenishment, but has yet to be fulfilled.

Is it possible for the Sheriff's Department to delay this process even further? Do they obtain such a right without offering any sort of notification? What is necessary in order to keep from being overlooked or simply disregarded?
