Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California
An acquaintance is asking if I could fax paperwork to her to use in her case against against the same person I won a judgement against years ago. I have yet to collect my judgement won in 1997, and I'm wondering if this would/could hurt me somewhere down the line in collecting my judgement or just come back to bite me somehow.
My paperwork shows he forged my name on loan docs, while he was and still is working in the Real Estate business. Should I provide my evidence to try and help her win her case?
Thanks for your time!

Giving her copies of your court paperwork is not going to hurt you, but the judge may rule it is irrelevant in her case. If she wins her case and collects her judgment before you collect yours, there may not be anything left to pay you.
You do realize that you were required to renew your judgment in 2007.
What Mr. Stone means is that your judgment expired ten years after it was entered, unless you renewed it. If you didn't renew it, you may as well help the acquaintance. If you are still trying to collect your judgment, however, then you do not help yourself if you help another person go after him too.
