What are my causes of action?

I am a new tenant on a month to month oral lease of an office with abundant unrestricted and unposted tenant parking.My car was parked in fron of my office for approximately 15 days without current registration, pending resolution of a smog problem. The landord's manager authorized a tow yard to remove my vehicle to their storage without my knowledge or permission. When confronted the manager admitted he made only minimal enquiry, but because spider webs were visible on the vehicle he concluded it had been abandoned on the property. The landlord admitted it was a mistake but refused to have it returned at his expense.
