Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California

Actions to set aside a nonjudicial foreclosure

Is there some magic word to use when attempting to locate an attorney who specializes in attacking the validity of Trustee's Sales? I've called local Bar Associations, and all I can get is general R.E. practices. If any of you attorneys are out there (preferably in S.F.), please post your e-mail address. Thanks in advance!

Setting Aside a Trustee's Sale

I'm not sure there is a magic word for counselspecializing in this field. However, you might try looking for counsel who specialize inreal-estate "workouts." Further, bankruptcypractitioners may be able to suggest counselwho have experience in challenging trustee'ssales. Finally, although I can't help you with counselin the San Francisco area, my review of casesin this area shows that attorney James S.Cahill has been involved in litgationchallenging trustee's sales. I believe you canreach him at the firm Rossbacher & Assoc.(213) 895-6500.

This response to your inquiry does not constitutea recommendation of Mr. Cahill, or an express orimplied warranty concerning Mr. Cahill's suitabilityto represent your interests. Further, thisresponse does not consitute the provisionof legal advice by me, or the creations of any attorney-client relationship betweenmyself and the party to whom this response isreturned.
