Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California

We cannot afford our home any longer and moved out in March 2010. The bank is going to work with us to do a short sale. HOA says we must continue to pay the HOA dues until the house is sold. Is this true even though we are not living there?

Yes. HOA dues are a cost of ownership, not residency.

Yes. You have to pay the dues until someone else has ownership, then they pay the dues.
