Apartment Lease

3 girls sign a 1 yr lease with one of their parents cosigning, 2 of them decide they want to break lease with 5 months remaining , the 3rd girl does not want to break lease and get a ding on her credit report. Is the one parent that cosigned not responsible for the remaining 5 months? What rights does the 3rd girl have?

The parent should be liable directly to the landlord or in an action for contribution from the girl who suffered damages.

It's a little complicated but simple at the same time. In this situation, whatever logic tells you the answer should be, is probably the answer.
