my apt is going to be torn down and rebuild in to condos and i being to told move out by 4/27 being that i being ask to move and have to look for a new apt do i still have to pay rent at this one

Yes. You owe rent for as long as you occupy the premises. If you are on a month-to-month rental, however, you can find a new place sooner and give 30-days notice. Then you would only have to pay through the 30 days as long as you actually move out by then.

I should add that it looks like you may be covered by the Los Angeles rent control laws, which I believe give you rights to relocation payments in the situation you describe. Call the rent board office to see if I'm right and for more information.
