Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California

Being asked to move

My landlord is asking my family to move out. We've asked them for a written notice that that reason we have to move because we are forced to. However, the landlord is unwilling to do so. We are willing to move out and would move if he gave us a written notice. So, please tell me what I can do right now.

thank you very much.

Re: Being asked to move

If you have an oral rental agreement or a written month to month contract, the landlord is rquired to provide you with a 30 day notice in writing. If you have a lease in effect, the landlord cannot terminate you "generally" unless you fail to pay rent.
