Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California
Breaking Lease due to noise level
I have a 6 month lease for an upstairs apartment. Since I have moved in, I have had many problems with noisy neighbors, parties late into the night. The lease clearly states that noise levels are to be kept down past 10pm. I have called the courtesy patrol and managers several times, yet the noise continues. I also have had repeated problems (20 to 30) since I have moved there, with people parking in my assigned spot, there is nowhere else to park, which makes it difficult to even get to my apartment. Do I have any grounds to ask them to break my lease?
