Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California
What happens if you buy a home, and the water heater goes out withing less than 2 weeks of your purchase? The plumber who checked the heater says it looks like somebody tried to fix it and there are parts missing. So, not only does it not work, but it is a hazard.

Did the seller fail to disclose a known defect? Unless the seller knew the repair was bad, they are not responsible for it. Didn't you get an inspection?
