Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California

Let's say I buy a property in California with a utility easement running through it. There is a structure on the easement. The easement document prohibits structures. Can the utility company remove the structure at its will? Can it sue me for the cost of removing it? Does it make any difference if the utility company has allowed this structure to remain for the last 30 - 40 years without complaint? Can you refer me to the relevant part of the California Code?

It depends on a lot of things. It depends on the exact language of the utility easement, and what the structure exactly is.
