Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California
Buyer Representation Agreement - Exclusive contract question
My 26 yr old son. looking for real estate, was coaxed into signing a ''buyers representation agreement - exclusive'' before the agent would show any property. This was the first time he ever met her. At #4 of the contract form: ''Property to be acquired'' it's blank other than a price range of $150000 to $250000. There's no indication of ''where'' the property is located. The agent took off on vacation after the signing and my son is left without any agent. How can he get out of this contract?

Re: Buyer Representation Agreement - Exclusive contract question
Well this may surprise you, but to determine that, a lawyer would actually need to see the whole contract. If you want me to review it and, if necessary, write an appropriate letter, let me know. It is much better than just hoping it goes away, as making a mistake without an attorney could be more costly. Email me.
