Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California

I am buying a house in California and the seller's agent refuses to provide contact info for the seller. We are in escrow and scheduled to close shortly. Does the seller's agent have to provide the seller's contact info to me, the buyer?

No, and you should be able to get this information yourself if you need it by looking it up at the county assessor's office or web site.

You need to know the owner/seller's name, but not his/her/its address. A refusal to divulge the address might be considered moderatelt suspicious, and you should ask why. The tax assessor's public records will show where the tax bills are being mailed, but it may be a post office box or the address of an agent such as a trust company or property manager.
