Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California

I have a CA RE License and have a job opportunity to work with an organization that is selling NV real estate. They are telling me that it does not require a license to sell.

Do I need a CA license to sell NV property from CA?

I think this question is probably better asked of the Nevada (and California) real-estate licensing boards - in California at www.dre.ca.gov. There, you'll get an authoritative and free answer. However, I'm pretty sure they'll tell you it is the location of the property you sell, not your personal address, that governs which license you need.

I have taken a quick peek at Nevada's real-estate licensing law, and I note that it seems to be full of exceptions where a license may not be required, so what the organization is telling you is not necessarily B.S.

You should ask them to cite the particular Nevada law under which they claim exemption, and why that particular exemption applies to the property (subdivision or whatever) that they are selling. Then look up the statute.

I suggest reposting in the category for Nevada law, as that state's laws would determine what license you would need to sell real proprety in Nevada.
