california grant deed took title without marital status stated. Now want to deed out, should I just deed out from both of us as husband and wife?

By "deed out," I assume you're selling the property? One possibility is to give the buyer a grant deed from yourself and accompany it with a quitclaim deed from your wife. More particulars about your situation and the proposed transaction might allow better fine-tuning of the advice.
